Pot is the perfect way to control the masses. An entire population living in a haze willing to
go along to get along so that one more joint can stay legal. No longer will hippies and the
addicted need to hide. They can sit on the police station steps giggling about "sticking it to the Man"
while smoking a fat one.
What a fantastic way to control a willing population, willing to live in a haze
under the control of a Government they hated for controlling them.
Legalizing pot will bring no freedom. Only sadness and poverty, and more Us -vs- Them.

Money quote! Meanwhile,
“What’s the difference between a drunk driver and a stoned driver?
“A drunk driver will blow right past a stop sign.
“A stoned driver will sit there and wait for it to turn green.”

Really? Is it legal for boozers to sit on the police station steps knocking back a 40?

An entire population living in a haze
Of the current alcohol drinkers, some will add pot to their habits, some will not. I suspect most (like me) will not. Many who want to be legal, but would prefer pot to alcohol might very well reduce their alcohol consumption, and there might be a net benefit in public safety (vehicle accidents, bar fights).
Of non drinkers, some might adopt pot and some might not. I suspect that VERY few non-drinkers will start smoking pot.
But I might be wrong, so I’ll happily leave it to the voters of each state to decide for themselves.

Yep, we’ll have the modern-day versions of Opium dens sprouting up all over the place.

I’m no fan of pot, but even I knew Reefer Madness was ridiculous.
