You can rub their nose in it, but a better tactic is to try to ferret out the “why” of their hypocrisy - why is it OK for a leftist/marxist to exercise unfettered power, and not a conservative? Because you (the liberal) inherently believe they are benevolent and trustworthy?

The crap I always get from the classic Lefty in the office is 'Bush did it too. Bush did it too.' when it was wrong for ANY president to kill an American citizen without befit of trial when there is no exigent situation.

I always point out that I am always consistent on the Constitution, and he is always relativistic on that document. No, I don't expect to invite him over for dinner any time soon.

You are absolutely correct. And, this is exactly what I have been doing. They may not immediately respond, but trust me, this BOTHERS them.

The Left went apoplectic when Bush signed the Patriot Act. Liberals need to be reminded that Obama reauthorized it.
