Morris does not put down conservatives like Rove. Rove goes after conservatives and leaves Democrats along. I realize that Morris background is a liberal toesucker and he was probably telling the audience what we wanted to hear, but he is far more tolerable than Rove, who has such major disdain for conservatives.

You’re coming at it from the perspective of who’s nicest to conservatives, which is fine. I’m wondering which makes for better analysis or, failing that, better tv, according to which it’s impossible for me to pick between them. There is a difference between being a good pundit and pleasing me ideologically, though you might not notice given how lousy is today’s tv punditry.

I enjoy Krauthammer, for instance, even though he’s pure beltway and I hardly ever completely agree with him. Judged against him both Rove and Morris are slithering slugs.
