Police arrested a 39-year-old man Monday night after a homeowner shot and wounded him while he was trying to break into a house in north Houston, officials said.
Kenneth Wayne Shepherd is charged with attempted burglary of a home in connection with the shooting about 9:40 p.m. in the 200 block of Janisch near Werner, said Jodi Silva, a spokeswoman for the Houston Police Department.

My reaction, too. Not being a CW music fan, that name sounded awfully familiar!
So this gun-nut cowboy couldn’t just slide to unlock his iPhone, start the phone dialer, and call 911? He could have safely done so and the police would have had plenty of time to arrive to subdue this burglar. No stupid useless guns could have ever been used!!!!!!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh1!!!!!!
It’s a shame that the evil-doer was only wounded instead of dispatched immediately to his eternal suffering with the likes of Mohammed, Hitler, Mao and Ted Kennedy. Well, looking on the bright side...maybe the wounds will be painful and the criminal will face a protracted, agonizing runup to death.
