“You may have the resources and manpower but you are reactive and predictable ... I have the strength and benefits of being unpredictable, unconventional, and unforgiving,”

Sounds like he is declaring a one man war against the LAPD. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I would guess at some point, he will end up with about 50 bullets in him.

We need to prevent cops from having guns. And have a national gun registry of cops with guns. Cops with guns are a kethal combination. How many people are killed each year by cops with guns? Just look at Great Britain where cops aren’t allowed to carry guns. They don’t kill people there.

This adds a new twist.

According to documents from a court of appeals hearing in October 2011, Dorner was fired from the LAPD after he made a complaint against his field training officer, Sgt. Teresa Evans. Dorner said that in the course of an arrest, Evans kicked suspect Christopher Gettler, a schizophrenic with severe dementia.

Following an investigation, Dorner was fired for making false statements.

Richard Gettler, the schizophrenic man’s father, gave testimony that supported Dorner’s claim. After his son was returned on July 28, 2007, Richard Gettler asked “if he had been in a fight because his face was puffy” and his son responded that he was kicked twice in the chest by a police officer.

With all due respect, from the article:

The first shooting Wednesday night occurred in the city of Corona and involved two LAPD officers working a security detail, said Sgt. Alex Baez of the LAPD’s Newton division. One officer was grazed....
Later, two officers on routine patrol in the neighboring city of Riverside were ambushed in their patrol car at a stop light, said Riverside Lt. Guy Toussaint. One died and the other was in surgery.

FROM OC Register:

Early Thursday morning, Riverside police said two officers were stopped at a red light and “ambushed” by a shooter inside a gray or blue Nissan truck, similar to the vehicle Dorner is believed to be driving.

In Corona, Los Angeles police officers were on their way for a “special protection” detail at the home of another LAPD officer when they spotted Dorner’s vehicle. A man inside the vehicle using a “shoulder weapon” opened fire on the patrol vehicle.

ALSO: Torrance is not in OC.

Thanks

This is not going to end well. ‘Shoot on sight’ comes to mind.

The cops are so "jumpy" that they have fired on two vehicles matching the description of the one driven by the suspect. One driven by an asian woman delivering newspapers. She now has a bullet wound in the back. No excuse for firing without being certain of your target. The "jumpy" cops needs to face prosecution for unjustified attacks on innocent citizens. They would allow no less for a non-cop who did the same thing.

http://ktla.com/2013/02/07/read-christopher-dorners-so-called-manifesto/#axzz2KE11AOLi Here is the link to the Manifesto..

There are other versions of the 'manifesto' (such as http://boywithgrenade.org/2013/02/07/christopher-dorners-manifesto/#more-15057 and http://www.crimefilenews.com/) that do not redact the LAPD names, and that include additional ranting, praise for Obama and Diane Feinstein and others, hatred of the NRA, support for an "assault weapons" ban for civilians, and other material.

Did the ktla version of the 'manifesto' leave that out for political reasons, or are the other manifesto texts "enhanced" beyond what was in the original? (I suspect the former).

My cousin is a retired NYPD police LT detective and practicing lawyer. Most of his clients are NYPD cops. He was “of council” in the Amadou Diallo case. The vibes I got from him, although he tried to hide his feelings, was that he held his clients in contempt. I’ve said before on this forum, to some incredulity, that he claims to never have drawn his weapon in 20 years on force, from patrolman in Harlem to Lt. Detective on the Manhattan DA’s homicide squad (sort like Law and Order).

I’d hate to see one of those nutjobs go off on him.

He also says “The honorable President George H.W. Bush, they never give you enough credit for your successful Presidency. You were always one of my favorite Presidents (2nd favorite). I hope your health improves greatly. You are the epitome of an American and service to country.”

I assume Clinton was number one since he says he “he is one of the greatest ever,” and that Hillary will make a great President in 2016 if she runs. If not Chris Christie is his guy.

He would also like to see Tebow get in the game and “Charlie Sheen, you’re effin awesome.”

Okay, thanks.

I think I get it now.

Seems like Quan’s father was the lawyer who defended Doerner, and because they lost the case, Doerner decided to get revenge by killing his lawyer’s (i.e., Quan’s) daughter...?

Is that about the size of it?

Sorry, the coverage I was listening to was Bill Handle and it turns out he was reading the LA Times website.

Two of the worst news sources in history.

It is a weird and sad story. I wonder if Vegas has a line yet on when they will catch him.
