Hey moderator,

Is just me, or am I being singled out from joining FreeRepublic? I have been following FR for about 4 years. Right after O was elected I was turned on to this site by a friend, and I really like it. But I only read and never joined.

Now I have read numerous posts by people who signed up the same day they joined, but for some reason I am still on probation. Is it because I am using an iPhone to comment? Do I have to use a PCM before I am taken off probation?

It sucks having to always wait so long to seey comment posted. How am I supposed to carry on a decent conversation with anyone?

So tell me please, what’s the deal?

"Maybe Karl Rove has a point ... sick of fanatics" Sure he does--on top of his head!

"Karl Rove, architect of the George W. Bush-era Republican victories,..."

Let's correct this, I believe Rove is the architect of Bush's victories (by the skin of his chinny-chin-chin. Did he affect congressional, senate or state elections? Not aware of that.

The real problem is that we need courageous, articulate conservatives to run and we need to close ranks behind them when the media attacks begin.

The Rove strategy of nominating moderate phonies who are nasty to conservatives but polite to Democrats doesn't work. Cowardice and compromise are not a winning combination.

The Republican party is splitting. It’ll be a long, slow process like the self-immolation of the Whigs. Rove is just part of that process. The Whigs split on slavery. R’s are split on big government vs small government. Both splits were fundamental issues about basic directions of the nation. It may not be pretty. But a much stronger, liberty based party may emerge from the ashes.

The big difference between then and now. The new, liberty based party in 1860 was allowed to take power. I don’t think that will be permitted today. Same result though.

Sorry! His idea of fanatics in the party are FAR different from mine! He is simply an establishment RINO overlord who is looking to hold onto power. He is not only out of date, he is out of his league with those that want to change the party.

Rove is pulling strings hard here in my state to try and make sure that our choices for the U.S. Senate next November are not conservative.

Just heard Congressman Steve King talking about it on WHO last night.
