It was 49 years ago Feb 6th. This week. I got a guitar for Christmas in 64 and it is now my profession.

Kids crack up when i tell them I have been playing for nearly a half century!

In early '64, the Beatles ended (for the moment) my love affair with Chopin and classical music -- and my piano lessons. I jumped into rock, ran the record hops at my (Catholic) high school, and got into college radio.

After being immersed in rock professionally in Seattle radio in the Seventies, I OD'd and ran back to classical, immersed myself in chamber music, and that's where I stayed.
