Capehart Warns On Drone Strikes: Remember, A Republican Could Become President!

Sure, you might be cool with Barack Obama calling up a drone strike on an American citizen. But don't forget: a Republican [shudder!] could become President!

That was the Washington Post editorialist Jonathan Capehart's warning to Donny Deutsch when the ad-man-turned-pundit proclaimed he had no problem with the president, under desperate circumstances, ordering a drone strike against an American.

Given the number of occupiers who have been arrested for plotting various attacks, they better worry about democrats.

So I guess that Constitution thing and stuff like due process, the right to confront your accuser and innocent until proven guilty are all things of the past?

I watched this segment while getting ready for work. The hypocrisy of these liberals is an endless pit.

Waterboarding was TORTURE!!!, yet the deaths of innocent women and children are "regrettable collateral damage."

The MSM would be having conniption fits if Dubya and Cheney were still in office.

It's a dangerous world, and I favor going after the bad guys whereever they may be. However, a bit more caution needs to be employed when going after an American citizen without due process.

The verbal contortions they were going through this morning was a sight to see.

No problem: Obama simply needs to rescind the drone finding when (if) he leaves office, and no Republican would dare reinstate it because of the media storm that ensue.

Oh yeah, Capehart. A Republican President WILL be elected soon and (s)he’s got a drone with YOUR NAME ON IT!

Republicans can easily maneuver democrats into rolling over Obama and overturning his power grab on the drone issue.
All they have to do is say they support it because they want President Palin or President Cheney to have that power in 2017.

Was it a republican POTUS who incarcerated Italian, German and Japanese Americans during WWII?

Was it a republican POTUS who dropped atom bombs on two major population areas in 1945?

And was it a republican POTUS who pushed the US into the Korean war?

And was it a republican POTUS that pushed the US into war against North Vietnam under false pretenses (Gulf of Tonkin)?

Capehart Warns On Drone Strikes: Remember, A Republican Could Become President!

When Bush was rolling out the DHS, TSA, the Patriot Act, and the NDAA, which contained provisions for the secret, indefinite arrest of American citizens, there were plenty of people warning that a Democrat would eventually become President. Those warnings fell on deaf ears.

Why people still have this insane idea that the Republicans will save them from Democrats or that Democrats will save them from Republicans I'll never know.

Because a Republican President would clearly target Chris Matthews and Van Jones on Day 1. /sarc

I really think that 0bama, etc, are going to make sure that never happens again, by whatever means necessary.

Yeah, that’s a consideration as well.
The left is FAR MORE LIKELY to use the police state that both sides have built.
