The only folks I hear talking about protecting sport shooting and hunting are the gun banners. The rest of us understand what the 2nd amendment is all about.

That's because they are most desirous of revenues from tourism. Tourism doesn't require real work, as, for example, manufacturing does. Without much tourism, they would not be able to regulate much against the Second Amendment or truly productive activities (like manufacturing, adequate levels of uranium mining--see hundreds of uranium mines during the 1950s, etc.). CO would cease to be a utopia ruled by bipartisan environmentalists and animal worshipers.
