Ron Paul Files International Copyright Complaint Against His Own Fans

Rosie Gray

Ron Paul has filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization against the proprietors of RonPaul.com and RonPaul.org, according to a blog post on their site on Friday.

The authors of RonPaul.com see the move as the ultimate betrayal from a politician who, more than many others, depended on an astounding level of grassroots support on the Internet in order to keep his longshot presidential campaigns running.

"Last month, after Ron Paul expressed regret on the Alex Jones show over not owning RonPaul.com (in an interview titled "Ron Paul: The Internet Is Our Last Chance to Awaken America"), dozens of supporters urged us to contact Ron Paul to work out a deal," the owners of RonPaul.com write.

They say they offered Paul the use of RonPaul.org as a "free gift" but wanted to keep RonPaul.com. Their price, should Paul really want RonPaul.com, was $250,000.

"Claims that we tried to sell Ron Paul "his name" for $250k or even $800k are completely untrue, and there is little doubt that our mailing list would have enabled Ron Paul to raise several million dollars for the liberty movement this year. It would have been a win/win/win situation for everyone involved," they write.

Even more shocking to the proprietors is that Paul's complaint was lodged with a U.N. agency, an organization that garners mistrust among libertarians....

He’s a craze you’d endorse, he’s a powerful force
You’re obliged to conform when there’s no other course
He used to look good to you, but now you find him

I don’t know if he trademarked the name, which would give him legal standing...

? He isn't the only person in the world named Ron Paul. He can't trademark it. Also, as a public figure, he doesn't have legal standing in this. Imagine if Obama tried to take down every site that had his name in it. We would be screaming censorship (especially if the sites were critical).

If you have been paying attention to the theft of AMERICAN intellectual property by the internationalists in order to establish global government you would remember what happened in 1998. It was the year Bill Clinton signed over the AMERICAN organization ICANN to the globalists, so the UNITED STATES would not be the originating country for internet domain name control. It was he who set ICANN up for control by the international bodies like WIPO and the UN.

If you are dealing internet domain names, ICANN is the authority. The brazen globalists who pushed ICANN out of US control, put WIPO up as the ‘dispute resolver’ for ICANN, the group controlling domain name registration.

So don’t be a Bill Clinton protector. Tell the truth about why ALL Americans who have an internet domain must follow the globalist organizations, who were bequeathed without the approval of the American people, a uniquely American organization developed as part of the American internet system to bribe foreign govermments to cooperate with their ‘free trade’ traitor initiatives.

Look it up. The traitors are still in the government, and you find it necessary to make remarks out of ignorance, I suppose.

You can assert common law or unregistered trademark rights to your name. Yes, even you.

You can thank Bill Clinton if you like.

He does have a case, and you can look it up.

Bill Clinton made ICANN a UN agency. There is no choice.

He DID trademark his name. Stick with facts. So did Palin. So do many others. I googled this to learn more. Here is an article I found... there are tests you must meet. Appartently, Paul met those tests.

http://www.ipwatchdog.com/2011/02/11/trademark-of-sarah-palin/id=15274/

Trademarking a name means it cannot be used for commercial purposes and cannot interfere with a business, among other implications. People do this and companies do this in order to control how their trademark is used.

You better grab “mnehring” before it is too late!

I wonder if the Birch Society has come up with an excuse for him? If not, they will.

He did not object to or make a claim against the website using his name when it was conveniently “not affiliated with the campaign”.

For him to now say it is his proprietary property is disingenuous at least, untenable at best.

I suspect you are right that he allowed it to serve his purpose - but it seems that is what he is also doing now... Serving his own purpose.

I do not object to people seeking their own self-interest. It is human nature and the basis of capitalism.

What is sadly humorous (oxymoron) is that Paulbots always thought RP was altruistic, and never saw how they were being played.

It is always a safe assumption that every candidate is in it for themselves. I agree with you and I would add that this includes Mitt, Palin, Obama, and every other icon on both sides.

I have lived through the theft of American technology and intellectual property for the profit of the globalist communists trying to establish one world government.
How does that make ME an ass?

You don’t remember what has been happening over the years, or you are purposely ignorant of what the globalist communists have done to the American people in order to push your particular agenda.

I won’t call you a name, like you did me, but what you have said makes you worse than me, whatever name you choose to call me, in my view.

And now that there is no other resource for Americans with registered internet domain names, you have the hubris to blame them? An American citizen that did not act to prevent this has no call to throw stones.

But the Bill Clinton Society who sold out American dominance in the internet domain name system, MUST have an excuse for Ron Paul to be using the system THEY set up as a means to wrest control from the American people, right?

The John Birch Society was rendered ineffectual by the globalist communist liberal faction a long time ago, and throwing up this group is really just a red herring to appeal to the low information voters.

If you are one of the globalist communists, then I understand why you would throw the John Birch Society red herring into this post.

It clearly is really stretching the truth now, isn’t it, since global communist bill clinton and his fake republican cohort gwbush are the elected politicians responsible for setting up the system so that the only recourse is to go through the global communist run WIPO as a subsidiary of the global communist UN.

If you cared about America and wanted to help you’d post some suggestions about how to get the ICANN out of UN control and back to the IANA American citizen run organization where it belonged and should belong.
