I sure hope our U.S. Aldi markets are not affected by this. I get great buys there! The lower prices also help me to support our local food bank. I seldom buy meat there as I seldom eat meat but I am told it is a good quality. Now I have to wonder.

that is why I go to Krogers,
and my son is the butcher there.

I shop at Aldi also....and the US locations are not affected. Most of their US store items are from US suppliers...except for some of the Deutsche Kuche products.
The horsemeat problem is Euro wide...and not just Aldi.
This scandal is brewing in the UK and Europe right now and involved “beef” products that originated in Poland and Romania. More details are likely to come in the days ahead.
Where does the beef we eat originate from....I honestly don’t know all the answers to that.
