Personally I don’t think voyeurism over someones private stolen material is really all that interesting.
How did the emails get hacked?
So this is what it takes to get his name back in the media, not in a negative way?
Not even voyeurism of the subject doing a self-portrait of himself in the shower?
Being the art snob that I am, I have to admit there’s some potential there. I find the shower one very interesting. The shadowing, the placement of the figure, the color choice. There’s something that’s working, and I can’t quite put my finger on it.
no
What is not working for me is the angle of his head in the shower, which can not be reflecting his face. Is there someone else in the shower with him>
Someone hacked into his email account. They stole files of pictures, phone numbers, addresses, and codes for security systems.
I like them both.
That said, my appreciation for modern is mostly visceral and based on hanging out at the MOMA and others...and would like to hear what a real authority on such art would say. There used to be an art professor that posted some great articles on FR about modern art. I can't remember her name but she would certainly have an educated opinion of W's work.
Its a style of art referred to as ‘ Outsider Art ‘ and has been quite popular for some time.
The definition applies to someone who does not have formal training in the arts yet paints anyway.
Given the amount of BS in the contemporary art world, outsider art is a real pleasure to view and enjoy.
Here is an interesting outsider named Horace Pippin. Here is a link with information. Wonderful artist with an interesting background.

His life's work was completely unknown until he died. Worked as a janitor all his life. Some of the imagery might be offensive to some.
His name is Henry Darger. Really some bind bending work.
Ping
Oh God. More stunning, thrilling, talented paintings from a politicians.
The tradition was started by Adolf, wasn’t it?
Too bad that, while in office he couldn’t paint a picture of what Democrats really are.
Jack ass
That was a cheap shot. You make it sound like GWB was marketing the work.
Lol. Someone is.
There’s one place for each and every establishment pol, “libertarian”, repub, democrat, loon and bootlicker: the dumpster.
Thanks for the ping! I really like these paintings; they are quite original, even if amateurish, and I really like that a Democratic art critic admitted liking them. They are really more original than Churchill’s work or, heaven forbid, the classical, derivative, stiff paintings of Hitler.
Bush’s paintings are much more honest and revealing in a way that our current president has never been and will never be.
