Doesn't the air after a nuclear test smell like rotten eggs? Something I heard one time.

According to S. Korea's Yonhap News, US and China got advance notice yesterday.

/begin my excerpts

Government Sources, “U.S. and China got advance notice on nuke test”

(S. Korean) Government noticed the situation since yesterday...
transition team (for the incoming president) also notified

(Seoul, Yonhap News) Kim Jong-woo

Commenting on the man-made earthquake of magnitude 5.1 which was determined to occur at Kilju, North Korea, high-level government sources said, “N. Korea gave advance notice to U.S. and China yesterday (Feb. 11 KST) about their nuclear test. It is very likely that they did nuclear test.”

USGS just revised the magnitude upward to 5.1.

At least 7 kilotons, perhaps as much as 15 kilotons.

There’s no chance this was faked.

I still have a strong feeling that they are fooling with large amounts of explosives to throw the world off. You can blow a bunch of TNT up in a deep tunnel and get the same effect and still scare people.

The 2006 DPRK test was confirmed by air sampling. The 2009 test did not vent enough. Don't know about this one. Inspectors went to the DPRK in the 1990s and were given samples of weapons grade Plutonium. There is no doubt the Norks can make Pu-239. The amount of conventional explosives needed to equal a kiloton is very large. I would expect it to be noticed.

Here’s the deal China. You know how crazy as these SOBs are and they are right on your door step.

Let’s You and us be partners and take these crazy sobs finally out. You can even take over, we don’t care.

Won’t happen

The Communist Chinese back North Korea for two reasons:

1. Even though Free Trader Communists will never admit it....China views the USA as Enemy Number One....and NoKo is one way to get the US riled up. And, it keeps US attention away from Commie Chinese planning and build up

2. Communist China fears NoKo opening their borders and letting millions of NoKo’s escape into China, which would leave the ChiComs scrambling. Commie China supports NoKo to keep them from doing a “Mariel Boat Lift” thing on Commie China

I remember the 2006. The radionuclides were only found weeks after when people noticed that there were none. There were none in 2009. Why not just process the 300000 tons of free urea based fertilizer into urea nitrate and blow it up? I don’t doubt it’s a nuke, but that sounds more feasible.
