Or, is it the Riverwalk?

I think that's the development in San Antonio of the river frontage.

The Moonwalk is where I used to go sit on the levee after I'd had coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde on Jackson Square on Sunday afternoon and continue reading my novels.

New Orleans does have a "Riverwalk Marketplace" (Yes, San Antonio used the name first). It started as part of the '84 World's Fair, housing a number of international restaurants and cultural pavilions. After the fair closed, the structure (which sits above the riverfront levee and extends out over an unused wharf) was renovated and turned into a shopping mall with some big name retailers.

After December 1996, it began turning into more of a collection of tourist giftshops (but retained the huge food court). The original tenants began giving up space because of *this*:

M/V Bright Field rams Riverwalk.
