Households On Foodstamps Rise To New Record

While hardly presented by the mainstream media with the same panache dedicated to the monthly ARIMA-X-12 seasonally-adjusted, climate-affected, goal-seek devised non-farm payroll data, the three month delayed Foodstamp number is according to many a far greater attestation to the "effectiveness" of the Obama administration to turn the economy around. And far greater it is: since his inauguration, the US has generated just 841,000 jobs through November 2012, a number is more than dwarfed by the 17.3 million new foodstamps and disability recipients added to the rolls in the past 4 years. And since the start of the depression in December 2007, America has seen those on foodstamps and disability increase by 21.8 million, while losing 3.6 million jobs. End result: total number of foodstamp recipients as of November: 47.7 million, an increase of 141,000 from the prior month, and reversing the brief downturn in October, while total US households on foodstamps just hit an all time record of 23,017,768, an increase of 73,952 from the prior month. The cost to the government to keep these 23 million households content and not rising up? $281.21 per month per household.

Total Americans on foodstamps:

I’m sure there are a lot of takers, but there are some who can’t find good-paying jobs.

Actually they are no longer called “food stamps” because they aren’t. They are credit cards or what they call “EBT cards - Electronic Benefit Transfer card” which is just like a CC. It’s a scam because the whole system is built on trust that the “food deprived” will spend that money on food. Ask yourself when is the last time you saw someone starving in the USA?

I grew up and lived in New york city my whole life until 2 months ago when I finally got smart and moved, and every-single-day I would see people buying beer, cigarettes, getting money from a cashier wihout buying food.

Of course some do buy food, but a hell of a lot do not. Oh yes, and this does not count the amount of money they are ALLOWED to take out to spend on whatever they wish. I believe it starts at $200 for a single adult and moves up from there. THEN they are also given an extra $240 for “food” which is the trust thing I was talking about. For that money they can’t take out of an ATM but it doesn’t stop them from using that EBT card to buy whatever they want.

Anybody reading this who lives in Queens NYC near Astoria, go to 34-00 Northern blvd. and tell me if you can find anybody waiting on that “food stamp” line who ISN’T here illegally. That line is notorious. You want to get pissed off, go down there and take a look. This is what your taxes are paying for. This is why Despot Bloomberg has cops out day and night handing out parking tickets.

And how many of them are ILLEGAL INVADERS? Getting what granny and gramps on their fixed income that is just a couple of dollars over the limit can’t.

Tricare for Life the retired Military’s secondary to Medicare is being gutted as I type. Co-pays second rise in 2 years are now $5 generic, $12 turned to $17, $25 turned to $44, and all we’ve seen in 4 years is a lousy $40 raise in SS during this election cycle.

This is another of DC’s broken promises to the Military.

I’ll never forget the time I was at the fish market in SW DC and a guy pulls up in a brand new Range Rover, all blinged out, $3000 wheels, the works. Pays for about $300 worth of raw oysters with a handful of those cards. He had a pocket full of ‘em and basically just handed them to the guy. Some people are more equal than others!
