Full Title: A subreddit dedicated to cataloging incidents in the United States where legally-owned guns are used to deter or stop violent crime.
Rules are few, but important:
Posts should primarily be direct links to news articles describing the incident. Articles regarding defensive gun use statistics are also welcomed, as are stories of DGUs gone wrong, or incidents where the defensive gun user had no business pulling the trigger. Copy the headline from the article. Don't make stuff up or editorialize. Note the city/state if it's not part of the article's title, like this: (Birmingham, AL) Note the date of the article at the beginning, like this: [9/1/13] Local news sources are best. If an interesting topic is discussed in a blog, HuffPo, AmmoLand, etc. look for the link to the original news article. Mods reserve the right to replace posts with a more relevant link. Off-topic and opinion pieces will be considered for deletion. Commenting is unmoderated, except in instances where the comment violates reddit's policies (giving out personal info, for example).

Dave was doing essentially this for a good while, only with the whole news story, at his blog. Had to stop due to copyright complaints.
Reddit won’t have that problem, as it appears they are just doing links, but many of the links will go stale pretty quickly.
