I think that I may have some insights into why some of the left wingers are beginning to question Obama, mostly through our local battle against the Obama push for sub-bituminous coal terminals in WA and Oregon.

Obama is pushing for a One World Government that would place control of multi-national corporations under a World governing board, allowing foreign corporations to sue the US over restrictive environmental or union regulations. It would allow corporations to operate in the US under the same laws as their corporate home.
It’s a new trade treaty, known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The left is going nuts over this and so are the unions. But, so should the Conservatives be worried because it also includes some sort of global taxing authority, maybe a carbon tax.

The left is worried because they are completely shut out of the process and all their work to control local corporate growth is going to wasted if the companies take on a foreign partner.

Locally, Obama’s was supporting the coal terminals, no more than supporting, pushing them hard, putting pressure on the former governor, Christine Gregoire to support the terminals. She was promised a position in the Obama administration in exchange for her support. The problem is the Greens that are opposed to the coal terminals refused to work with her, so she is out of luck as head of the EPA or Sec’ty of the Interior. …and the coal terminals are dead. So, she is out of luck with the unions as well. Obama only wanted the terminals to keep the union voters in line for the election. There never was going to be any new coal terminals.
