All it was about is showing that he cares for the little guy (while he is busy actually enslaving him).
This will bring us a lot closer to $5.00 a gallon gasoline and the $10.00 Happy Meal — not to mention more expensive motel rooms. Businesses that employ minimum wage workers will either shut down, or jack up their prices. Generally that means retail stores, gas stations, motels and restaurants.
Why not $25/hr or more? Wouldn’t it be great to have a president who has actually worked a real job in the real world?

Why $9.00 an hour. If your into this minimum wage thing and you think it really matters go for $20.00 an hour.

This is the same federal government that has fraudulently manipulated CPI reporting to conclude there is no inflation, when in fact inflation is presently running at more than 10% per annum.

Make the mimimum wage $100 per hour and overtime after 5 hours a day.
The stock market bears little relation to business. Large institutional traders are not necessarily on our side. Many large business are on the dole and get favors from government to limit their competition.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a president who wasn't a communist fool and servant of the devil?

I would love, love, LOVE for the GOP in the house to pass a $100/hour minimum wage bill. Then when the Senate and President oppose it, just run on that:
The Republicans wanted to give you a $100/hour minimum wage, but the Democrats said “No!”. The Democrats say they are for the working poor, but when the bill came to them, they turned you down.
Make the Democrats try to explain to the “low information voters” (i.e. stupid people) why they voted it down.
