I was never a Chubby Checker fan. Hank Ballard and the Midnighters did the original version of the Twist - Chubby Checker only lucked into the Twist when Dick Clark was unable to book Ballard to perform the song on “American Bandstand”, so he booked Chubby Checker in his place. That being said, however, if Chubby Checker does have his name trademarked, and Hewlett-Packard is using it without his consent, then he does have a case.
Chubby Checkers is only 71 years old??
Actually he had 21 Top 40 hits from 1959 to 1965, so he was no slouch in that department.

But I’m with you on your view on CC. He was far from being one of the greatest musical entertainers of all time.
