“there was a good chance he could have been waited out, starved out, and extracted alive”

Being practical, how was he able to survive almost a week without food and water? He supposedly carried a large supply of guns and ammo. How in the world did he keep hijacking cars and maintain his stuff?? Did those vacant cabins have supplies of food?

He had pill boxes in that cabin from what I can ascertain. Maids caught him.

Ammo bursting for hours means he had been there before his retreat to that cabin.

Remember what we did to Noriega in Panama. He was holed up in his palace and we waited him out. Looks like the same thing could have been done here, especially by cutting off his water, gas, and electricity.
