Yep, I’ve said for many years, it’s the Rotary Club vs street thugs...we know who will win. Sickening!

The Republicans are generally serious about running and governing the country.

Many of the the current generation of Democrats running the country are 60’s radicals and their disciples who were in favor of the violent overthrow of the US Government.

When they failed to incite a violent uprising in the 60’s , they decided to to work the system from inside to co opt it and ultimately bring it down from within.

They see this as war by other means and they have the same ruthlessness and fanaticism towards their cause as the Viet Cong had living and fighting in the Vietnamese jungles and Che Gueverra brought to the Cuban Revolution.

The also have a network of allies in the Media, the Universities, the Public School System, the Trade Unions, The Foundations, the Non Profit/NGOs and the “Street /Community Organizers” which allows them to mobilize and get their message out in a coordinated, rapid propaganda front from board rooms and Faculty lounges to shop floors and the corner drug dealers in the ‘hood.

Most of these allies are very well paid, have influential positions and have this focus as their job function.

Republicans are doing a job and the Democrats are fighting a Revolution to overthrow our system from within by using the system to destroy itself. Very few Republicans are comfortable fighting a relentless rear guard action nor are they good at it. Those that are good at fighting back, like Sarah Palin, are singled out and destroyed by the Media.

The only advantage the Republicans ever had was that the overwhelming majority of the American people were on their side when push came to shove, if only for self interest reasons, and while the Democrats were tough, motivated and ruthless and blessed with an amazingly well funded organized network, they were only a small minority working against the country at large.

Unfortunately the Progressives persistent and patient Long March through our countries institutions country has fundamentally changed the mindset of a near majority of our population, so it is really tough for the Republicans and they have not helped themselves.

As WB Yeats observed in his poem “Second Coming” ,

” The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.”

It's a sign of the times
