Personally, I find “Redskins” to be out of line also. I would be opposed to whiteskins, paleskins, yellowskins, blackskins.

I think if they changed to Iroquois or Algonquin that would be fine.

If the owner really wanted to PO Indian people, he could change the name to “colonists”, but the NFL would probably nix that idea.

The way to PO the white folks would be to rename the team “Lakoda Sioux” or “crazy horses” or “Custer killers” or “sitting bulls”.

1. the old Redskins name,
2. the most popular occupation in D. C. - lawyers,
3. and of course, all the crap that comes out of D. C.

That is a stupid statement. You think white folk don't respect the fighting spirit of the Indians? Why the heck do you think we have sports teams named "Braves" and "Redskins," eh? Apparently Whitey has a lot thicker skin than just about anybody else...
