Time For Firearms Manufacturers to Draw the Line
Ammo Land ^ | Feb 14, 2013 | Sean Sorrentino

Raleigh, NC --(Ammoland.com)- How much is your profit margin worth? Lenin famously said that “capitalists will sell us the rope we use to hang them.”

Should firearms manufacturers sell guns to the police who will enforce gun control laws? Should they sell arms to the states that do not respect the rights of their residents?

LaRue got the ball rolling. Olympic Arms came out strong. EFI appears to have added New York to the list they already maintained of locations they simply wouldn’t support. Templar Custom has joined in. And York Arms not only joined, they cancelled actual New York orders.

Four firearm manufacturers will not put a dent in New York State’s ability to enforce their unconstitutional and insulting anti-gun law.

We need the major manufacturers. When will they step up? There are 800,000 law enforcement officers, give or take, in the entire US. That includes State, Federal, and local police of every description. From the beat cop to the FBI HRT. From the deputy with a Glock to the agents of the Department of Education armed with short barreled shotguns. The FBI reports that there were 2,495,440 NICS checks nationwide in January of 2013.

This means that if every sworn officer in the nation threw his gun away and bought another tomorrow, it would represent less than one third of the total firearms purchases by citizens in January alone!

The police market is not the primary firearms market in the US. The crazy MAIG mayors from Bloomberg on down don’t seem to understand the basic economics of the situation. Judging by the fiscal state most of their cities are in, this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. The vast bulk of all firearm purchases in the US are by regular citizens, not police forces.

Luckily, Grass Roots North Carolina has an idea. They have posted a suggested letter and three email addresses. They are asking you to email SIG, Smith and Wesson, and Glock to ask them to stop selling to New York government agencies, including the NYPD. If the citizens can’t purchase a simple handgun, why should the police have it?

Keep Faith with the Fallen of Benghazi! Let the Obama Regime, for once, tell the Truth!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

The free market always works... and here people are saying manufacturers shouldn’t sell to government agencies? Oh, Puh-leaze... Bloomburg and Cuomo will just give that business to the Chinese or whoever is willing to assume ultimate responsibility for gun violence... Gun insurance... whatever... they will mark their prices up accordingly and THE TAXPAYERS in NY will pay for it.

Suits them right for voting for Fascists.

Eff ‘em all.

Now would be a great time for some of the major ammo manufacturers to cancel Government orders. Sales could easily be made up by the general population or the little people as Obama likes to think of us.

Considering the amount of ammo stockpiled by the govt., I doubt this would do much.

Cancelling big-dollar government contracts is easier said than done. That’s why the federal agencies have gone to multi-year contracts for ammo. Even if the big manufacturers wise up, there will always be some minority/woman/veteran owned, HUB-Zone companies out there that will buy the stuff, then turn around and sell it to the government.

Is Olin still in NY? There use to be a gun Manufacturer close to Utica NY, if they are still there, they should pull out and move their operation out of the state. Let Cuomo worry about their employees, like Hillary did for all the former employees in the upstate region. LOL!! There are NY’ers and there are NYC’ and neighboring Counties NY’ers. There are two different NYs. NY don’t want guns? Good, get the manufacturers out of the state along with the manufacturers who produce the associated items.

Amen.

Weapons and ammo manufacturer are on the front line of this new war (CWII or WW3)...and they get it.

This is an effort of the Communists to take away the weapons of those who would simply defend themselves and their families.

We get it!

Sorry traitors...we will defend ourselves and our Country.

Too effing bad you didn't read the history of this country...you would have saved yourselves a lot of time and blood.

This is not about race or money...this is about Freedom!

Spread all manufacturers around to “free” states and let the liberals have their gun free societies in the liberal states. Simplistic, I know, but it might push a change.

Well, that is kind of how federalism is supposed to work.
Sadly, it usually results in the Libs taking over Red states via the central gov and state migration.

I don’t think so, not if the rest of America put out a boycott on their products.

US consumers don’t give a crap. Look at all the imported cars and junk they buy daily.

We can’t boycott them since there has been a ban on the importation of (most) Norinco firearms and ammo into the US since 1993 (Bush 1). The wiki page on Norinco has additional info.
