This is the “natural” chain of events in any major city. As time goes on, a city like New York becomes a place where more and more people live, and yet less and less really productive work ever gets done. At the end of the day, everything is a “burden” of some sort because you’ve got 8 million people living in a confined geographic area who are absolutely incapable of fending for themselves and end up living like domesticated animals.
