The US will probably do the “usual drill”. I am sure that will make a big impression on Kim3.

Once again, amature hour is exposed at the Obama White House.

Because of Obama’s stark weakness it won’t be too much longer until some country pushes the envelope and launches some “unexpected” attack somewhere. America’s weakness, as deliberately and starkly portrayed by Obama, unfortunately will likely soon cause much death, destruction and misery.

Democrats response is always the same. “Its Bush’s fault”, what make this any different.

There was speculation posted on another thread that this flurry of Nork nuke testing was actually clandestine testing of Iranian weapons.

They certainly could take some of the million tons of nitrate and urea fertilizer South Korea donated to them and blow it up in tunnel.

Ooooooooo! a NUKE! Better surrender!

We and the Japanese could shut down the NK nuclear program overnight.

1. The Japanese announce that in response to NK they will produce nuclear weapons.

2. The Americans announce that #1 is understandable and that they will be fast tracking a Japanese request to purchase plans for light weight nuclear warheads, the Pershing II missile system, and Tomahawk cruise missiles.

3. Through back channels, the U.S. and Japanese tell the Chinese (and Russians) that they are willing to turn their plans off IF North Korea is dealt with.

Throw the ball to China and they will jerk the leash on NK pronto. They have no desire to have a nuclear armed Japan.

The real decision maker is China. If we are serious about NK then we should look to China's pressure points.

In fact, I would approach the Chinese with an offer to encourage them to invade NK as a humanitarian move. In return, we would agree to not base U.S. forces on unified Korean soil. Let the Chinese occupy NK and try to make some sense of that mess, while keeping the DMZ in place. After a decade or so, the Chinese will be ready to turn the mess over to South Korea.

North Korea has told its key ally, China...

I think that's akin to: "An angry pit bull has told its key ally, owner Steve..."

The pit bull might be marginally less inclined to bite the man who gives it food every day than it is to bite strangers, but the man is always well aware the possibility of being attacked exists.

Obama is gonna send Kim a few more modern, “green” nukes with less fallout problems.

In the interest of sustainability and saving us from the climate.

I’m betting that North Korea is working on its nuclear program with the full knowledge and support of China, Russia and Iran.

As long as we continue to Free Trade with Communist China....and rack up trillions in trade deficits.....we have no standing in dealing with North Korea and their main sponsor Commie China. Both nations just laugh at us

We raise tarrifs on the Communist Chinese....and both NK. and Commie China will want to deal. Unfortunately Free Traders and Liberals are our biggest threat to national security

If NK wants a nuke so bad, we should be generous and drop a couple on them.

... maybe throw in a fruit basket with a nice note on it too.

Question: What do you call it when a small nation spends tens of millions of dollars to build nuclear weapons that they don’t need for defense only to detonate them in underground tests in a game of brinksmanship while their economy regresses to the stone age and tens of thousands of their people starve every year?

Answer: Madness.

We’ll have to shoot one of those meteors over North Korea like we did Russia today. That will settle them down...
