I do hope that Senator Jim DeMint, the Senate Conservatives PAC and the Heritage Foundation come out in strong support of this strong freshman Senator soon ... and loudly and proudly. It seems like he's all on his own right now.

Sen. Ted Cruz lost his voice a couple days ago.
Some senators probably wish it wouldn’t come back — at least for a little while.
In six short weeks since he became the junior Texas GOP senator, the no-nonsense freshman has quickly become a lightning rod — on issues ranging from guns to Chuck Hagel’s nomination for defense secretary — upending the Senate’s conventional ways, in which freshmen typically work quietly to build bridges with their colleagues.
Cruz’s sharp-elbowed Senate style underscores the dilemma facing Republicans as they seek a way out of the political wilderness: Rising stars like Cruz, a tea party favorite, are winning elections and GOP primaries. But their no-compromise, firebrand styles could turn off voters eager to see the two parties start making deals.

Voting for Cruz last fall was the best vote I ever cast. Am so proud of our Texas senator!

The truth is that "senators from [the REPUBLICAN] party are typically far more collegial" while the Democrats deal in lies, smears and slurs while never being called on them.
God bless Cruz. The leftist media and the leftist Democrat party are united in their goal of destroying conservatives and the country as we know it. We have to rally to Cruz at every turn, in hopes that at least a few of our established party will take notice.

Several years ago when Ollie North was running ‘they’ told ‘us’ that he had too much mouth and would be a lightning rod that would never get anything done.
Sen Cruz seems to be just that man and so long as he holds up for 2 years other ‘fireballs’ may try running, once they see it is possible to ‘make a difference.
Granted, North wasn’t my ‘choice’ but I backed him and Sen John Warner backed the “I” candidate who siphoned off enough of the vote to reelect Robb.
Remember ‘they’ brutalized Nancy Reagan for RR’s entire political career BUT when she opined that Ollie wasn’t a good ‘choice’ the LIB press started praising her like she was the “Second Coming”.

I admit, I knew nothing about Cruz running into the election. He was just another name on the ballot, didn’t know him from a lampost.
Now that I’m seeing him in action, my God, what a relief to see that someone still has a spine. What I like most about Cruz is that when he’s in one of these stupid hearings, he shows up ready to do more than simply warm a seat and get his face on the C-SPAN cameras. He’s ready to do battle.
The “moderates” are just there to warm seats and collect a check.

When I cast my ballot for Ted Cruz, first in the primary and then in the general, I was as happy as I was in my first election (1964) when I put an X next to Barry Goldwater's name. Unfortunately, AuH20 became mush-brained as he aged and moderated his once-unabashed Conservatism.
As for Senator Cruz, one thing I'll say is that he hasn't let his Princeton and Harvard background stand in his way. I bet he terrorized the leftist professors at both of those northeastern elitist institutions. Although born in Canada, Ted Cruz strikes me as thoroughly Texan and proudly American.

There was a day, long long ago, when Orrin Hatch was the outspoken junior conservative. Then Washington got into him.
