MoveOn.org is moving into the TV fight over curbing gun violence.
The progressive group will announce Friday that it's going up with a television commercial that goes after members of Congress who accept donations from the National Rifle Association.
The MoveOn spot, which the group says it will spend six figures to run for a week on national cable television, is part of their campaign titled, "The NRA doesn't speak for me."
In the ad, a man named Jerry Thompson, who describes himself as a gun owner and proud defender of the Second Amendment, says "for years I've watched Congress take money from the NRA and then oppose any kind of reform that helps keep us safe."
Thompson goes on to say that he was disgusted by the NRA's response to the December massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut, where a well-armed gunman killed 20 young students and six adults.
The commercial ends with Thompson saying "I've had enough. So here's my message to Congress. You take money from the NRA and then continue to do their bidding, we're going to remember that come election time. The NRA doesn't speak for me, and they don't speak for the vast majority of Americans so stop taking their money"
MoveOn's announcement of their new ad comes one day after NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre charged that President Barack Obama's gun control proposals in the State of the Union address were "not about keeping kids safe at school" but rather part of a broad campaign to "dismantle the Second Amendment."

The communist piggies are serious about taking away our guns. The bass turds know that their communist utopia can never be possible as long as Americans have firearms. We won’t allow the slavery of communism in our country.
Those that are 2nd amendment enthusiasts will not be affected by this ad. Those apposed to the 2nd amendment already agree with the ad. Those undecided are already on the side of those that appose the right to bear arms, they just don’t know it yet.
No minds will be changed by this ad. Money not well spent.

The BRA should air ads about the mass murder by the left of their own citizens who oppose the left and atate that this is just the latest installment. Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Minh, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez, Kim jong..., Mugabe, 0bama. The cult followers are easily swayed by the evil.

Those Korean/Chinese photos of soldiers shooting men and women is one example in mind of what we need to show to the the public on a large scale, you can add to that photos of people being slaughtered by Lenin, Hitler, etc....all of them. A collage of photos that will tell the truth about what can happen. I do wish there was a way to get your idea directly to Mr. LaPierre of the NRA.....

GHWB pretty much made the same pronouncement when he publicly renounced his membership in the NRA. It didn’t improve his political fortune.
I don’t need to write this for FR readers as they already understand this. The leftists have no interest in safety, their goals are political. They are using tragedy to attack the NRA, a political opponent. They are doing so by intimidating anyone who might associate with the NRA. They have the money and media power to do so. This is a naked political attempt to silence opposition. The left is moving much more strongly toward facism. It appears that one-party rule is now the practical reality. How severely the ruling leftists restrict economic conditions and individual rights is not yet clear but it will be substantial. I also haven’t forgotten that leftists, despite their public claims, are violent people and we can expect more frequent threats of violence from them.

For two years, I’ve been advocating that conservatives need to have TV advertising to counterbalance the MSM, but all that has come of it has been the stupid work done during the last campaign - work that produced a tiny bit of good news. Now the LEFT is running the type of advertising that should be run by Tea Party and the deep pocket folks that believe in eliminating debt in government - the Left is going after GUNS and congresmen that support gun rights they don’t need to win just make people in congress look “old fashioned” then aroudn election time low information folks will vote them out. Because they want the “promise” of hope, that has lost the place Ronald Reagan once put it in the conservative message. /rant off

Through all of this chaos, and mass hysteria, I just have one thing to say. If I get murdered tomorrow, by a guy who would shoot himself in the head, I wouldn’t care what hobbies the guy had or what kind of gun he shot me with. I would only care about the fate of the individual. Funny thing is that thoughts like that don’t occur to all of the demagogues out there.
