The government schools aren’t turning kids into politically correct, sexually obsessed, lock-step marching communists fast enough to suit Obama.
Head Start has been shown to provide no lasting benefits, so as a liberal Obama wants to see a vast expansion of the program. Of course it may be about creating more jobs for Education majors who will then join teachers' unions and have some of their dues used to support the Democratic Party.
Charles Krauthammer had some sarcastic comments on this topic yesterday on "Special Report" (which they played again this morning on "Fox & Friends").
The difference is not conservative or liberal, it is God or satan. No matter where the little ones go to school, if their parents are Catholic, they will be fine. Ohterwise, no.

Since the recent State of the Union address, President Obama has been touting his proposal to offer free preschool to everybody.

How does that work??
If you want to raise scores of the poor then get defend real marriage, get rid of welfare, allow vouchers and school choice for parents and grow the economy so parents make more money in their primary jobs (if they have one) and don't have to work extra jobs away from their children. In essence defeat liberalism.
“Free” has a definition in Obama speak as a mandatory government control process paid by mandatory taxes.

Believe me, I got more liberal indoctrination in Catholic schools than my daughter is getting in public school 30+ years later.

In my small Episcopal parish we adhere more closely to “catholic” doctrine on those issues than the majority of the “practicing” Catholics I attended HS with.
Stupid people tend to have stupid children. Not everyone has equal capabilities regardless of parenting.
The problem is the government refuses to admit this simple fact. And thus keeps jumping to the wrong conclusions.
The government noticed decades ago that kids who attended kindergarten did much better than those that didn't and PRESTO! it was decided by government that every child must attend kindergarten! then they would all do better *snicker*! but alas... it didn't work... because kindergarten didn't make those original kids do better, they were just smarter kids from smarter parents to begin with who had just chosen to put their kids in Kindergarten.
Now the same thing is happening with prekindergarten.
Smart parents were sending their smart kids to prekindergarten... and suddenly!!! the government says... HEY! prekindergarten must be making these kids smarter!!! we have to order all kids to prekindergarten!

before you know it the government is going to be order invitro education for everyone in a useless attempt to make everyone equally smart.
All the money and government programs in the world wont make someone that is retarded close the gap.
And the sad fact is there are large groups of people with average IQ’s most would consider to be retarded, and kindergarden, pre-kindergarten, and even pre-pre-pre-pre kindergarten isn’t going to change that fact.
Obama won the Catholic vote in 2012 50-48. 75% of Hispanic Catholics voted for Obama in 2012. Tell us again how being Catholic assures you of having children who won’t be indoctrinated. I would actually rather have a pagan teacher who voted for Obama teach my children than a “Christian” teacher who voted for Obama.
Four year olds are babies. Also, all people are individuals. Where the neuro system is at 4 could be wholly different in maturity from baby to baby. There is nothing an institution can do to promote a child’s future at 4. Loving adults can do a lot, though.
The union workers that would be caring for your child in public indoctrination preschools will be more like TSA agents than a loving parent.
And remember that public institutions OWN your children while they are there. 1. You have no access to your baby if they so choose (lockdowns are at their discretion). 2. They are obligated to report you to child protective services or the police if they think you are doing anything wrong. Stupid people will be hearing your lisping, unclear-speaking tot and reporting you to the police if they hear things like “daddy beated mommy last night” when little Tiana meant “at scrabble.” What about this obviously substance abusing father: “daddy keep pot under the stove.”
The more people who use this form of prison for their children, the worse our grandchildren’s world will be. Uninformed voters start at 4.
But the communists need to get kids away from their parents as soon as possible to brainwash them into being good little atheist statists who worship the government.
