I’m thinking there may be too many gun owners and the spin won’t work.

Exactly.

Just how is that, upon the 2nd A. Right, a tax is ‘legal’ but for voting, which is NOT a Right, is illegal?

"I don't think it would have changed a damn thing," he said.

The same thing can be said about the whole bill. The bad guys will have whatever gun they want. They don't care what they look like as long as they can be used to kill unarmed people.

And that will eventually give liberals enough leverage to expand it.

We have to get more control of congress in 2014.

There are quite a few Fudds out there that won’t care until they start outlawing their highly accurate sniper rifles (bolt action deer rifle) or their indiscriminately powerful scatter guns(over-under breach loaded shotgun).

Isn’t so much about the spin as it is the re-branding.

I’ve asked that same question, without a decent answer, for decades now.

Control? How about we just burn it down and start from the base document?

The only thing wrong with our Constitution is that we no longer have a government that is following it.

But the law is PROTECTING more than it is banning. That is a good thing, right? (/sarc)

No gun is safe as long as a liberal has breath.

Education of voters is key. They’ve been dumbed down and made dependent. We can’t clean DC with the idiots that vote.

“Gun ban would protect more than 2,200 firearms”

How about the other 269,997,800 firearms in this country?

Mini-14 takes some work to get it right. Out of the box, it will vertically string impact points as it warms. There are companies that specialize in improving the accuracy with better barrels and gas systems. The basic rifle is not bad if you're just blowing off some coyotes. It's not really great for long distance prairie dog varminting.

Been hearing that since Nixon.

How’s that working for us?

"Congress' latest crack at a new assault weapons ban would protect more than 2,200 specific firearms"

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

This was some of Feinstein’s original propaganda argument. Her plan didn’t endanger the weapons she wanted to ban, it “protected” the ones she and her side hadn’t targeted yet. Make no mistake, unless stopped, they will target every weapon until none are left.
