President Barack Obama spoke about his new gun control initiatives during a quick visit to his hometown of Chicago Friday, but the violence in one of the most dangerous cities in the United States did not abate.

Four separate shootings took place in the span of 90 minutes Friday evening in Chicago, the first coming less than an hour after Air Force One departed O’Hare Airport after President Obama spoke on the culture of gun violence and economic decay that plagues many cities, including his hometown. [...] An hour earlier, Obama wrapped up a personal speech at Hyde Park Academy on the South Side, where he mourned the killing of Hadiya Pendleton, the teen who visited Washington for his inauguration just a week before she was gunned down not far from the school. “This is not just a gun issue. It’s also an issue of the kinds of communities that we’re building, and for that we all share a responsibility as citizens to fix it,” he said. Obama had said little about Chicago’s murder problem — there were more than 500 in 2012 — before Friday, instead focusing on mass shootings in his post-Newtown gun control push. But at a high school just two miles away from his Chicago home, he acknowledged the depths of devastation that street violence generated in the city.

The Chicago community organizer now organizing the country organized a community of murderers.
It might help if the gub’mint buys more bullets and makes more laws against these crimes. Just keep trying the same thing hoping it works.

In all of the discussions of gun control - bans, registration, etc. - there’s also the faction that wants to restrict the availability of ammo. No ammo, no shootings.
I have to wonder how much ammo a gang banger really needs over the course of his “career”. After all, they don’t practice or shoot competitively. Seems like a few boxes would do it.
We need to start multi-year studies as to why they cannot get along.
I dunno. Maybe if we stopped all welfare and these people were forced to keep their families together we wouldn’t see so much of this? Maybe if they actually raised decent kids who didn’t turn into gang bangers and killers we wouldn’t have this problem?
Just a suggestion. I know The Plantation Owners wouldn’t be having any of THAT, though.
Then again, maybe NONE of the above options can help these people, either. Maybe they are just genetically not programmed to be, well, normal and/or civilized.
Because who in their right mind would accept being on welfare, year after year, generation after generation? Wouldn’t MOST normal people strive to get off that crap?
Most would. These people do not.
Obama seems to leave a lot of death in his wake.
But here in gun-free Britain, another shooting has occured. I shall be glad to get home to the safety of the USA and resume my true alter ego.

The problem isn't Gun Culture, it is Black Culture that teaches if you are accidently bumped the offender must be killed. ...where gangs drive-by family homes and shoot them up with total disregard who is in them, often the wrong house or the intended target isn't even there.

They consider themselves victims and believe they are entitled to do whatever they want and have everything handed to them.
These people are supported by the Democrats. They break the laws and there is no focus on stopping them. The focus of the Democrats is on taking guns from law abiding citizens.

It seems the gang-banging thugs in Chicago are taking Barry’s gun confiscation threats seriously too. They’re hurrying up and going out ‘n killing all their enemies as quick as they can. Thin the herd.
80% or more of all shootings & murders in Chicago are felon on felon crimes (Chicago Tribune, Jan 6th.) Do I really care if a bunch of gang-bangers kill each other? Nope. Do I care when those gang banging idiots kill innocent kids playing at a park or in their own homes by stray bullets? Sure I do.
So here’s what we do: evacuate all the kids out of the two neighborhoods responsible for 90% or more of the murders in Chicago: Austin and Gresham.
Wall off Austin & Gresham, and air drop a bunch of guns and ammo into them and let the gang bangers kill each other off. Wait two weeks. Anyone left alive in those two neighborhoods after two weeks gets thrown in jail for life for murder. Problem solved. (I’ll leave you guessing as to whether I’m serious or that’s sarcasm.)
BO had his photo op, slavishly reported by his kept media hacks, so what difference does it make (a la Hillary)? He had to get down to FL to play golf with his buds, while he and his family have 24/7 protection for life paid for by the stupidest bunch of taxpayers in the history of the world.
