Universal Orlando plans to stop offering medical insurance to part-time employees beginning next year, a move the resort says has been forced by the federal government's health-care overhaul.
The giant theme-park resort, which generates more than $1 billion in annual revenue, began informing employees this month that it will offer health-insurance to part-timers "only until December 31, 2013."

Got a heads up from my UPS guy today. Yes, I know they’re Union, but our distributor uses them to ship to us. I use FedEx for our shipping. Anyway, he said to look out around the end of July. Talks aren’t going well and may interrupt shipments. Also, he said he thinks UPS will cut insurance for part timers. He said many of them are only there for the insurance so they will quit, slowing things down even more.
