In a video blog post headlined “Happy Birthday, President Mugabe,” CNN International’s Christiane Amanpour took time to commemorate the 89th birthday of Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe, the internationally reviled dictator who has led the once-prosperous country into near-total economic and humanitarian ruin.
Despite the persistent allegations of horrifying human-rights abuses and crippling financial issues still plaguing Zimbabwe, Amanpour’s tribute to Mugabe’s 33 years of power was mostly positive.

I have never seen CNN other then in airports. Even then, I ignore it.
Only one satellite here carries CNN.
That is why I refused to buy it, and bought G-Sat, which has only FOX.

Remember when even a Lib Washington Post reporter like Tom Shales called her a globe-trotting fancypants who was completely out of touch with America? Not much has changed since then.
The Commonwealth of Nations (formerly known as the British Commonwealth) suspended Zimbabwe back in 2002. Zimbabwe withdrew from the Commonwealth in 2003. This is very notable, as you really have to work at being bad to get suspended from the Commonwealth (in that regard, it’s like a self-esteem school — you get points for attending, and seeming to make an effort to look like you’re trying to improve).

Agree with you on Fox. Dont’ watch much anymore. I only put Fox and Friends on in the morning to put something on while I get ready for work. And I happen to like Gretchen Carlson. :-)
Exactly. fox n friends and gretchen are all i can stomach. the five isnt bad but truly cant stomach beckle.
When I think of a typical lefty journo with a stick up her/his azz I think of Amanpour, with Kathleen Parker winning honorable mention.
But it’s a long list: Geraldo, Chrissie, Brian, `Howdy Doody’, Andrea `Hatchetface’ Mitchell, Cooper, Wolf, Dowd, and on and on and on.

Such an example cannot exist. Conservatives want limited government, while liberals want an all powerful government. Conservatives cringe when they hear Obama complain that the US Constitution is outmoded because it prevents him from doing what he wants to do for “the people”. Libs, on the other hand, worship megalomaniacs who will use their power to throw some crumbs to them at the expense of other citizens.
