Mr. Tebow, Please do not fall to media.
Do what God Almighty has directed you.

I'm sure Jesus was under extreme pressure as well before the cross but did not back down from the appearance. Btw, what is so newly controversial about calling Mormonism a cult?

The “new information” may have been about the church’s pastor Robert Jeffress. Jeffress, in 2011, said Mormonism was a cult while praising failed Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry. Jeffress has also made controversial comments about Muslims, Catholics and Jews, and sports writers put pressure on Tebow by writing his appearance next month would be an endorsement of Jeffress’s views.

Maybe God was directing him to avoid that church? Jeffress has made some anti-semitic remarks and has gone off on the Catholic church akin to a certain tract writer that can’t be named here.

But Obama spent 20 years in Wright’s “church” and the press is okay with that.

Exactly, when you’re scrambling to make a team, this isn’t an appearance that would endear one to his future teammates. There are a fair number of Catholics and Mormons in the NFL and coaches have enough headaches.

mormonISM is a cult, and you are correct about the first part of your statement as well.

If the pastor made anti-Semitic statements, I stand with Tebow for his decision not to speak at the church.

A remarkable opportunity, on a large national stage, for a popular Christian player to instruct the media that his endorsements will come from his own mouth, thank you very much.

Until Baraq issues an executive order to the contrary, we still have the right to state our own opinions and to differentiate those opinions from anyone else's we choose.

Mr. Tebow had to know the controversies surrounding his appearance before he agreed to speak. I don't know all the facts but it seems Mr. Tebow took the road more traveled. In the end it is what Jesus thinks about it anyway. This sports hype we have today is out of control. . . .there are millions of role models out there not seeking notoriety that make differences in the lives of others. Let's identify the unsung heroes proclaiming their faith in Christ to those searching for answers and how the Lord can help them in their daily living. . .but then maybe not, those unidentified Samaritans will get their rewards later Where it counts.

And what anti-Semitic statements do those who pontificate upon such things say Jeffress made? That Jews cannot be saved except through Jesus Christ? If this is anti-Semitic then I am an anti-Semite.

You are not an anti-Semite . . you are a truth seeker.

In John 14:6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

As Tebow’s attendance at the church in question would be read as an endorsement of the pastors views; I wonder if the “Divine One’s” attendance at the reverend Wright’s church can be read as an endorsement of Wright’s views?

Jeffress to me appears to be virulently anti-Catholic.
I for one applaud Tebow for taking a pass on this deal.

Popular Culture always derides and hates the Truth. This labeling “anti” whatever——needs to be spelled out. It that Church just stating their religious beliefs-—which is a 1st Amendment Right.

We always allow “labeling” of groups that is a fault-—discourse and debate is always desired rather than the PC (Mao technique) of name-calling to shut-up the Truth— and it is usually a lie most times when done by MSM. They will label anyone who is pro-Jesus Christ as haters and bigots-—and they already are trying to destroy Tim Tebows popularity since day one just as they have been trying to destroy Catholicism.

Ideas matter-—some are not “provable”—they are based on Faith. So? No, one has the “Truth” on earth, —so it is necessary to have freedom of speech. If you think the Jewish faith has shortcomings or flaws? So what—that doesn’t make you anti-Semetic. You have the right to state it in this country and it doesn’t make you a “hater”—it makes you a thinker-—questioning-—wondering—which is GOOD and leads to Wisdom. The more you question and search for the Truth-—you may just decide you are wrong-—as easily as you may decide you were right. So what????? Freedom of Speech is the key!!! without being “punished” for your “belief”.

Now, if it is a Satanic belief-—where you can use humans as a “means to an end”-—then, it is actually against the Constitution of the US. That is not ok—as Socialism/Marxism/Progressivism is evil because it makes slaves of human beings and should be unconstitutional.

Tim Tebow should NOT be afraid of speaking the Truth-—and he should NOT cower at name-callers and the evil press. He has a right to his belief system and to express it without demonization. Jesus stated, anyhow, that all his followers would be loathed and unpopular, so why worry about it. The way of the cross is extremely difficult and NOT popular——maybe, Tim Tebow is getting cold feet. The press is vicious and can destroy a person easily. I don’t really blame him-—just disappointed in him. The Truth still should reign and if God called him to serve-—he should do it willingly regardless of his fear (which I am sure is great). God bless Tim Tebow. He needs God’s Grace more than most since he is in the eye of the Beast.
