President Barack Obama claimed today that since he has been president both parties have worked together to cut the federal deficit by $2.5 trillion—despite the fact that the national debt has increased $5.9 trillion during Obama’s presidency, which is more than it increased under all presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined.
“Over the last few years both parties have worked together to reduce our deficits by more than $2.5 trillion,” Obama said in a speech at the White House in which he called on Congress to avoid modest automatic cuts in anticipated spending that are set to begin on March 1.

"have worked"? I think that we need to dig a lot deeper into the big book of English tenses to find one that covers work that is claimed to have been done on fictional estimates that isn't planned to occur until many years in the future and isn't going to happen then anyway. Kind of like me justifying eating a triple cheesebuger, fries and milkshake today because of my diet and exercise program in 2023 has been so effective.
I could have taken a trip to Hawaii last week, but didn’t. I figure I saved 3-4 grand. Not bad, huh?
You actually saved $7k because last time you went you spent $4k so 4-1 = 3 + 1 that you saved = 4 + the 4-1 that wasn’t spent last time = 4 + 3 = 7k. Make sense?

To think that an American president would have the gall to say such a thing when public records clearly show it to be a fantastic lie...it simply bespeaks pure evil.
