JOE BIDEN ON HOME DEFENSE

Biden goes Rambo.

In an online interview with a magazine reporter, day before yesterday, the vice president of the United States told us how to defend our homes.

He is a significant federal officer -- first in succession to the presidency -- and was one of the longest-serving senators in modern history.

And he has given us instructions.

The vice president said he told his wife, "If there’s ever a problem here, just walk out on the balcony, here, walk out, put that double-barrel shotgun and just fire two blasts outside the house."

He then went on to say that a shotgun was better for home defense than an AR-15, that we all should buy a shotgun, and that we should handle dangerous situations the way he tried to teach his wife. to handle dangerous situations.

Let me review. The second-most powerful man in America, pushing for a federal gun crackdown, gave specific advice on how to protect your home and family against criminals.

Step one, you hear a noise outside. Step two, load your double-barrel shotgun. Step three, go outside. Step four, fire your gun. Step five, fire it again.

That's what you do when you hear a noise outside. That's what the vice president said. What an idiot. What an irresponsible, dangerous, meglomaniacal idiot.

What he describes is illegal, immoral and would put a person in great danger.First of all, the double-barrel shotgun is a viable choice, but not a particularly good choice. It is apt to have a long barrel and be ungainly and heavy, and it would probably kick like a horse. Further, it only holds two shells.

Second of all, the vice president tells people to leave their home and go outside -- onto a balcony, specifically -- to investigate or confront the intruder. That is patently insane. You don't leave your house, you don't go to the bad guy.

If there were a possible intruder outside your home, the right thing to do is to secure yourself in the home, probably hiding in a locking room or closet somewhere. You hole up. You take up a defensive position.

And you call 9-1-1.

Possible intruders outside are for the cops to handle. If they come inside, they're for you to handle. But outside, they are not a threat, and you stay away from them. No matter what, you don't go to them. And you don't let them know where you are.

Now, as you are holed up, you might very well have your gun with you -- I would, for sure. And if the bad guy came in the house and came to you, or one of your loved ones, you would warn and engage him.

But you don't go outside.

And you sure as hell don't shoot your gun.

To tell someone to go outside and just shoot the gun, apparently to scare away the potential bad guy, is absolutely, stunningly insane. What a frigging idiot.

What a way to get someone arrested. It is illegal to shoot in that circumstance. First of all, in most locales, a random discharge like that will be against an anti-shooting ordinance. More significantly, from a legal standpoint, will be the fact that you may be committing a crime against the potential bad guy. If he's walking on your lawn, or even stealing your bike, and you fire a weapon, you have engaged in endangering or some other quasi-assault offense. When the police come, and they will come, YOU will be the one who is arrested.

Further, how safe is it to randomly fire a gun? Where are you supposed to point it? Up, where it can fly who knows how far and hit who knows what? Down, where it might hit someone or ricochet? Do you aim it in the general direction of what you hear? What if you actually see someone, should you aim at them?

You pull the trigger, and lead is going to fly. And if lead flies, it might hit.

And people die from that.

It is insane to go outside and discharge your firearm as some sort of warning shot.

Let's also look at the vice president's specific advice. Take your double-barreled shotgun outside and fire it twice.

Twice.

Let's do some inventory. A double-barreled shotgun has how many barrels? Two, that's right. A double-barreled shotgun, when loaded, holds how many rounds? Two, excellent.

And you fire it twice.

How many rounds does that leave you?

Well, let's do the math. Two minus two equals you've gone outside, revealed your location, antagonized a bad guy, and now your gun is empty.

Translation: You're screwed.

You have left the safety of your house, you have not called the police, you have illegally and unjustifiably fired your gun, you have disclosed your highly-unprotected position to the bad guy, and your gun is empty.

Repeating for emphasis: You're screwed.

Legally and tactically, it's insane. Morally, it's no better.

A sound outside your house is not a threat. It is a sound. You do not go to the sound and use deadly force. Firing a gun is, by definition, deadly force, no matter where you do or don't aim it. The sound -- whatever it was -- was no threat to you. Maybe it was a bad guy, maybe it was kids playing hide-and-seek. But you went out there and fired your gun. You are the criminal. You are not engaged in self-defense, you are engaged in irresponsible lunacy.

And you are following the directions of the vice president of the United States, a man who -- on this very subject -- is seeking to dicate in our lives. The lunatics are in charge of the asylum and a complete and utter fool is helping to run and ruin our country.

Morally, you may use a firearm in defense of yourself or someone else. You may use a firearm in defense of liberty, or faith, or land in time of war. But you may not use it against a sound.

God help us to survive the administration of which this idiot is a leading light.

Ironically' Joe Biden is the picture-perfect example for the Democrats' argument that "some people" shouldn't be allowed to own guns.

Can you imagine living next to this guy? Would he be willing to provide notice to the public that he's going to dust off his $3,000 Beretta and go out shooting skeet, just so the innocent can seek cover?

Moonbat Actor Danny Glover: America Should “Abolish Personal Guns”…

WASHINGTON — Hollywood actor and political activist Danny Glover, star of the “Lethal Weapon” films with Mel Gibson, told The Daily Caller that Congress should “abolish guns” in the U.S.

“I don’t own a gun and definitely not only Gun Control, we should abolish guns, the personal guns. That’s how far I’m willing to go,” Glover told TheDC at a TransAfrica Forum benefit event on Wednesday night.

“There are many people in this country who do not have guns, who don’t own guns and are still under the same, are still susceptible to being burglarized or anything, but that doesn’t mean that we should willingly accept the fact that we need guns. We have to find some sort of way in which we live together, some sort of way in which we move on, for the human species to move on without guns.”

"I don’t own a gun and definitely not only Gun Control, we should abolish guns, the personal guns. That’s how far I’m willing to go,” Glover (said)... the human species (needs) to move on without guns.”

So. Danny Glover thinks it is perfectly fine to overturn the Constitution of the United States because he wants the human species to "move on"?

It just goes to prove a hopelessly ignorant moron can make huge fortunes in Hollyweird but that doesn't mean his opinion is worth a pitcher of warm spit.

Biden would say that’s absurd, everybody knows Oswald didn’t shoot Lincoln on the set of Good Morning America it was at Gerald Ford’s theater of burlesque where Abe was sitting in John Wilk’s booth. Oh, and you can’t pump a Glock double barreled shotgun, those are lever action.
