Does anyone else find it odd that this story is receiving such international attention? I turned on the news this morning to get an update on the weather—the reporters were breathless in their coverage of this story. I don’t get it.

It's just more tabloid fodder for the dumb public to eat up----legless Olympian murders beautiful girlfriend.

This morning I had Fox News on (a rare occurrence in this house nowadays) because I wanted to see their interview with Rick Perry. Instead they covered every moment of that long-winded judge's monologue, with their breathless "alert" logo running across the screen. I turned off the TV.

The contrast is breathlessly amazing. Obama who has a constitutional duty and responsibility to protect and defend Americans anywhere in the world, allows four Americans to be brutally murdered and the press utters not a word.

Whatever fate the press reaps, they have earned it...

There’s a reason the TV comes first in TV news. If it bleeds it leads if it’s sex that’s next. Famous guy shot his model girlfriend. That’s some good TV.

some murders are just horrifyly arresting

the details leaked suggest he shot this beautiful girl in a jealous fit and then broke down the bathroom door and executed her as she cowered

Now he’s “poor Oscar, the victim of a tragic mistake”

Yeah sure

I fear this guy will “walk”” (pun intended) as the defense turns the investigator into another Mark Ferman and the murderer into another OJ

I am so sorry for her family but they really need to get out of the “there is no anger in our hearts” mode. She deserves someone to be angry about how her life was wasted. If I ever got murdered I would want my family to be PISSED.
