I would not like to assume that you are referring to the veterans who EARNED their pensions by working longer hours in more extreme conditions with fewer rights than most of their fellow Americans under a contract that promised deferred compensation? It would also be premature of me to assume that you are somehow implying that almost every able bodied American with a high school diploma and a clean police record did not have the same opportunity to enter into this contract? After all, DoD, like every employer, only compensates its employees at the bare minimum level to fill fulfill its requirements. Veterans in every sense of the word, only did what others CHOSE not to do.
