A 21-year-old Texas man is being credited with protecting his family by shooting one of three men suspected of forcing their way into their home outside of Houston.
Harris County Sheriff's deputies tell KHOU.com that the man's father was pushed to the ground by one of the suspects when he answered the door Thursday night.
When the intruders went to attack the mother, the son ran to retrieve his father's gun and fatally shot one of the suspects, the report states. The other two suspects reportedly fled the scene.

Or maybe he should have used mace or a whistle to scare away the boggie man?
YOU CANNOT FIX RETARDED!
Good shootin, partner! Too bad the other two thugs didn’t stay around for a little more action.
...and so another gun-related killing, as seen by the media.
I presume your second use of “mother” in your last sentence was only half a word. ;-)
A whistle would have been just as good . . . . .
Can I play this game?
“Maybe the intruders just wanted to steal the family’s belongings, and not actually hurt anyone. You don’t know what would have happened. Belongings are no reason to kill anyone.”
These are actual arguments that I’ve read on liberal sites written by people that are against homeowners shooting intruders.
Wow, real close to where I used to live. Brings it home.
YES - that’s a good — I’m sure they would add that if a home owner has the money to purchase a hand gun - then they have the money to purchase home owners insurance - and therefore, those items taken could have been replaced! Thus saving a life...
Yeah - it’s a shame we can sit here and make fun of liberal logic — but the bigger threat is that LL usually ends creating some stupid law or getting a community organizer elected as president!
Only in New England does one shoot in the air...per the Biden Directive!
If we get the (possibly) unintended side effect of making everyone who participated in the crime also guilty of felony murder when one of the criminals gets killed in the process, that is a bonus.
My understanding is that the intent was to deter criminals by making everyone culpable for any murder, even one of their fellows. Fewer criminals that way.
I read that quote in the comments on a story. Woman’s husband died of cancer in the home. Two guys tried to break in. House was in the middle of no where. She called 911 and was on the line with the dispatcher while they were trying to bust in. Police were more than 30 minutes away. She asked the dispatcher if she could shoot at the intruders. This woman was terrified. Dispatcher told her to what she felt she had to do to protect her children and herself. When the cops got there, one intruder was dead and the other ran away.
One woman on the site was ANGRY that this woman defended herself with deadly force. Over the course of the conversation, she recounted her expirance with being attacked and held at knife point. But she was proud that her attacker was alive to stand trial. It’s good for her, so everyone should do the same. The guy could have just wanted the cancer drugs that the husband had left behind when he died. They could have wanted her TV. And she owed it to the attackers to give them what they wanted rather than kill them. It was really troubling to read.
Woman in Florida got 20 years in prison for firing a warning shot against her abusive husband.
If one shots at a person - then do so to hit him — all that firing warning shots like Biden stated -— comes from watching too many Hollywood movies - and is not based in reality!
Thanks for the link.
How about a “10% Rule”? The state pays the citizen 10% of what it would have cost to incarcerate and “rehabilitate” the dead scumbag. Sort of a commission kind of thing?
Of course. The fact that anyone who shoots an intruder who threatens his actual mother could be subjected to second guessing by “law enforcement” just makes my blood boil.
I love that law.....
“Do you mean intent or conspiracy to commit First Degree Murder?”
In Texas if two or more people commit a crime where one is killed. The others are charged with murder.Kind of a package deal.
