Sorry to hear that. It is a frightening world for sure especially in the USA (at least the last 4 years). I really wish we had some serious people in Washington who wanted to do something about cuts. The “Real World” has many more job opportunities than the government because there are more jobs in the civilian sector. However, I digressed. I would love for their to be a complete look at EVERY program in the government and seriously look at what is not working. It won’t happen though.

Agreed. How about a guess as to how much waste is in government? 5% of the budget, 10%? 15%, 20%? No one knows because there is little accountability. Besides, they wouldn't admit it if there was waste. The rule in the government — if, at the end of the budget cycle, if you have extra money spend it anyway.

Government programs are like an amoeba — they expand and fill the void. No boundaries? It becomes huge and out of control. Certainly, people are employed. But at what cost? And it is the fox watching the hen house.
