The Memory Span of Fungus

I have been puzzling over what I perceive as the growing loss of public interest in the Benghazi debacle in which an American ambassador and three others lost their lives and the former Secretary of State in a pique of anger over questions about the event said, “What difference does it make?”

It makes a difference if the State Department was derelict or indifferent to the ambassador’s cables that spelled out the security threats that he and his staffed faced or, for that matter, the attacks on other diplomats and humanitarian organizations operating in what was a war zone. African migrant workers had earlier been attacked creating an evacuation crisis, but the September 11, 2012—a noteworthy anniversary—attack simply accelerated the flight from a lawless region controlled by al Qaeda.

Now, six months later, with the exception of Fox News, there is little notice taken of what is arguably a major scandal, one of incompetence followed by deception, and which, like “Fast and Furious”, the gun-running scandal to Mexican drug cartels dreamed up and covered up in the Department of Justice, is fading not just from the news, but from the memories of Americans

The liberal news media controls what people talk about , what they think. The news media made a news story everyone was talking about , about Rubio taking drink of water .But the media doesn't let Americans think or talk about the unconstitutional executive orders this Obama pos has imposed on us, Benghazi, fast and furious and the many other times Obama has abused power and the many other time it has taken away our rights and our freedom .this monstrosity Obama needs to be impeached. Instead the media has people calling for Rubio’s head for drinking a glass of water when he is not even president but just thinking of running.

I am inclined to believe that many under age fifty and many more under thirty have no real grasp of U.S. or world history.

Not only no grasp of history, but I also think a majority of Americans no longer have the interest or the intellectual ability to understand a single paragraph of an article such as this.

I we had REAL representation in WDC, Senators would put a hold on EVERY Obama nomination until the whole truth of Benghazi comes out.

But, like Fast & Furious, the illegal & cowardly acts of this Administration are talked about briefly & forgotten.

From what I can see, decent people have NO reps in WDC.

What about those Oscars tonight? If sports doesn’t work, vicarious celebrity watching should take you mind off reality!

Television is the opiate of the people!

Ironically, All US passport travelers will receive even less support from the SOS than our ambassadors.

I seem to remember something about gun running to Mexico, a border agent getting killed, an Attorney General with the House voting some type of legal action before some kind of court???? Anyone remember that???? Fast and Angry...something like that.

I still feel fury every time I think of Hillary’s “what difference does it make?”

Here’s why: there is no difference between what she said, and if she had said: “With all due respect, Senator, we have six million Jews who disappeared from Nazi-controlled territories during World War II. At this late date, does it matter if it was just due to a bunch of Hitler Youth out to make some trouble, or if they were acting out in reaction to some provocation.”

I would submit to Hillary that it makes a great deal of difference to know and understand the REAL cause, no matter how long after the fact. So that it doesn’t happen again. It’s equally frustrating that she didn’t even list in her alternative “causes” of the four Americans’ deaths all of the real possibilities, just the two that she wanted to talk about, in order to trivialize the search for the real causes. The ones she doesn’t want to be investigated further.

Sorry that last sentence is a non sequitur. Like I said, the subject makes me too furious to type correctly.
