Yes, the Academy Awards featured a joke alluding to raunchy parties at actor Jack Nicholson’s house...

Casual viewers may not be aware, but it was at Jack Nicholson’s house that fugitive perv director Roman Polanski allegedly drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl.

Is that funny? Hollywood thinks so.

I guess since a hero of Hollywood raped a child, it was "legitimate".

We have to understand that the Academy Awards ceremonies appeal to those stupid enough to watch them.

To them this is funny.

Same way with Saturday Night Live. If you are stupid enough to watch it, it does not offend you.

Please, let's be accurate. It was not merely alleged; it happened. He admitted it in court and pled guilty.

It was while awaiting sentencing that he fled the country. Leftist women-libbers are strangely OK with this.

All, if not most, of the dresses were tasteful. There were no overtly political speeches. Most of the speeches were about appreciation and mention of spouses where appropriate.

while it wasn’t hopeful, it was toned down. THey have families back home who tell them how horrible this situation is, even if they live in a bubble.

It was boring and lovely, comparitively.

Until THat awful Hack Nichleson sp? waddled out, hauling the sixties radical stringy hair. Laughing at his own jokes nervously and out of place, as he hasn’t made anything in years.

And then Mooch came up on th ejumbo tron. Some little polyanna voice told me, well”Ahhh! Giver her the hook!, get her off!”, that show people know when overexposure and worse at the wrong time can cause real lasting contempt.

The whole thing was out of synch, mooch and him.

I quit going to Hollywood films decades ago.

I don't bother with popular culture AT ALL.

It works on TWO levels. I don't subsidize their rot (read: none of my $$$$ for them) AND I don't have to buy into their gratuitous filth, meaningless violence and near criminal sedition.

American popular culture is vomit.

I don't know how people can raise children in proximity to such awful corruption.

Jack is beginning to look like the picture of Dorian Grey. The orgies have really got to him.

C’mon, give ‘em a break! Even the racist, Whoopsie, stated it wasn’t “rape-rape”.

Watch TCM where the real and likeable movie stars (most of whom were patriots) can be enjoyed.

I can’t remember the last time I watched that tripe. Or any of that self-serving Hollyweird stuff. Statues, plaques and lucite blocks; everyone on the left gets a shelf full of ‘em!

Add in Boob song sung by a Boob, and you have a winner.

I’ve always thought that Hollywoods goal is push the envelope a little further each year

Hollywood is a clown show, but since it finances President Kenyatta Obamo its given a pass on “being too white.” But thank god its slipping into irrelavancy, witness American Idol that great hope of prole-Merica, the idiots at FOX turned it into the Star Wars bar scene, fail/

Actually, this is all abou their elitism.

If Polanski should be held to the same standards of behavior as everyone else,

that threatens the whole Hollywood community’s “special” status of being above the law of the “commoners”.

No other reason they condone this stuff except to enforce their superiority over everyone else.

You're right ... Using the term 'alleged' is insulting - and stupid ...

The ads are a perpetual and insufferable insult to your intellect... there is a mountain of things I won't buy and services I won't use, JUST because their ads are so offensive. THIS is the great thing about Capitalism... if I don't like or want YOUR product/service... there's a guy down the street maing and selling the same or better. I get a choice!!
