Good for Beretta! I’m sure Texas or Georgia would love to have them.

Well what are they waiting for? MD has already done more than enough to cause any respectable business to move elsewhere.
Instead of pondering and posturing, Beretta should be moving now.

I remember when Barreta moved that factory to PG County in MD. They wanted to be near the US capitol it made the Italian Management feel safe. They had a mistrust of the fly over regions.... LOL.

Their warehouse operations are across the river in Fredericksburg, Virginia. It's a fair distance, but a commutable one.
I think it's almost a slam-dunk that they'll move production of the ARX-160, perhaps across the river.
The problem with Virginia for Beretta is that it's become more of a purple state recently. The infection that's killing the blue states has taken hold there, too. I'd look at Texas for a place to build the ARX-160 if I were Ugo Beretta.

I live in Maryland, not far from the Baretta location.
I would hate o see the jobs go, but Baretta is right in this.
I like th comment by Mike Miller, by the way he is one of the biggest pieces of Shyt in this state. It is he who is leading the pack killing Maryland. He is concerned, LMAO, he might be concerned but he will support the gun bills.

I have always wondered why gun manufacturers are still in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, etc.

If they come to NC, I would be interested in going to work for them. Heck, if they move to Virginia I would be interested in going to work for them.
Not in Maryland, though... and I'm from there.

They need to look to the Midwest where we cling to our guns and religion. We have some of the greatest machinists in the world working here in Wisconsin, “Common down”.

If anything, Wisconsin is more blue of a state than Maryland. I’m not sure the cheese and the beer is worth it.

New sidearms that possessed military features would also be included... Would the primary "military feature" be defined as the capability to launch a bullet?

Even some of my liberal relatives left MD years ago because of stuff like this...
To: servo1969
Gov. Martin OMalley has offered a bill that would ban assault rifles and magazines with more than 10 bullets, meaning Berettas famous 9mm pistol, which has a 13 bullet magazine, would be banned. This has been the case for awhile in MD, where handguns are concerned. I purchased my Glock 21 in Baltimore around 1997. It was restricted to 10 round magazines at that time.

State lawmakers are genuinely concerned that Beretta will leave ... I listened to the committee hearing on SB281 last Thursday night ... Beretta never came up. These state senators are morons ... there isn't a rational thinking brain among them ... they are ramming this through so OMalley can keep the pace with Cuomo for the 2016 Dem nomination.
They don't care at all if Beretta leaves Maryland.
