This young girl was killed by gang members. Yes, gang violence.

She would still be dead if there was an Di-Fi so-called assault weapons ban. She would not have been saved if high capacity magazines had been outlawed. She would still be dead if the gun show loophole had been closed earlier (See DOJ survey/interview of convicted criminals on where they get their firearms Tables 8 & 9).

In short all the things that politicians are trying to do in the name of reducing gun violence, would not have saved her. So, what are the politicians trying to do them?

So obviously the new legislation being proposed, is not about reducing gun violence, it is all about controlling guns and honest people.

It is time that the “common sense” talking points of the left are challenged and the “truth” is rubbed in their noses.

The next time a politician talks about gun control, they need to be asked and challenged on if what they want to happen will reduce gun violence. It is time to set up gang task forces in Chicago and go after the gangs who killing people.

“This young girl was killed by gang members. Yes, gang violence.”

You’re right on.

Instead of tackling crime the politicians instead want to ban guns.

Many of these street gangs in Chicago are just proxies for the Mexican drug cartels, and organized crime is getting their weapons from numerous sources including military stockpiles from the civil wars in Latin America not so long ago.

Imposing further restrictions on law-abiding citizens against their Second Amendment rights isn’t going to do anything to curb street gang/organized crime violence among rival factions fighting for drug turf.

Frankly, the U.S. probably could dramatically reduced gun violence much more efficiently by legalizing drugs rather than banning guns.
