Camoron decommisioned the harriers back in 2010 so the RN currently has no fixed wing aircraft for its carriers. The new full-sized carriers currently being built will not be ready until the end of the decade at the earliest.

Hmmm, did not know that. Thought the new carrier was for the Harrier. Hard to see how the Brits will be able to defend the Falklands without any carriers - even against the Argintinans. The U.S., having to be mindful of its relations with the rest of the Americas will not provide overt support. Maybe such as satellite intelligence, etc. But, no air support, etc.
