Good morning!

Tomorrow is St David's Day/Daffodil Day. Patron Saint of the Welsh. Usually I'd make cock-a-leeky soup but because it's fish fry time we're going to do that.

Yesterday I made the Larry the Cable Guy chicken...it was FANTASTIC. For me at least. Mrs p6 ran for water yelling "it burns, it burns!"

I gave her a saying..."If it's bland it will be grand. If it's spicy, not so nicey."

She can't handle flavor, LOL! Just a bit of pepper puts her off...sigh.

So today's culinary adventure will be Chicken Kiev with Larry the Cable Guy Breading.

I'll use the recipe in the video but substitute Larry's breading. should be interesting.

He has a clue but probably doesn’t get it exactly. Too long being a lefty.

Sequestor tomorrow...good! Yesterday Doyle sent me a rather long email ranting all the left wing wacko stuff Jim was talking about. I am so angry with Doyle but am trying to resist calling and blowing out on some poor intern.

Oh, I’ll probably call, lol!

Oh my bad! I just went to the kitchen to prep a few things for my chicken kiev later and ppulled out the box of Larry the Cable Guy breading.

OOPS!

I bought two boxes thinking they were both original recipe. Looking just now one was spicy. That’s the one I used yesterday. Looks like someone at the store mixed the boxes on the shelf and I didn’t notice.

If I had seen spicy I would have used that just for me. No wonder mrs p6 thought it was hot. I bet she’ll really like the original.

I have to admit, I wondered why Mrs p6 said it burns! lol! She’ll LOVE the original! I don’t care for spicy stuff either.

Somebody in the EPA has a problem with the smell of baking bread?? Oh good grief?? Just grabbed on to the end of what Quinn was saying. There used to be a huge bakery here in Indiana. (before my time). I heard that the smell of baking bread throughout that part of town was heavenly!

Nabisco used to have a huge bakery in east liberty. Oh course labor unions eventually did them in. Nabisco moved but Pittsburgh’s mayor and other dems managed to work out a deal for employees to buy it.

I had a few friends (not union) who worked there. The aroma was wonderful BUT enviros in the neighborhood complained. Theybhad complained when Nabisco owned it. Finally the EPA stepped in and regulated the plant out of business!

Whackos!

Pope Benedict leaves in a few hours. I am so worried! He was a good Pope IMO. A friend of the West and fighter against communism. I pray his replacement will continue!

If the cardinals Pope Benedict put in place are as conservative as I think, the next pope should be a good choice.

I hope.

Nothing in these evil times will surprise me any more.

Good morning n’@!

I had alot of relatives that worked at the old nabisco plant. It was a huge employer for the east end. Now I think it’s “lofts” apartments (Bakery Square?)

The Bob Woodward story...wow! I disagree w/Quinn on Woodward’s add on comment of “if only Obama knew...” I think BW is playing the narcissist a d stirring the pot a little more. If BW released the email (the name) then that top advisor would be under the HopeyChangey bus ASAP! This way...the story stays alive.

You may very well be correct. BW not naming names keeps the story going. Smart on his part!

Anyone listening to WPGB live? Did anyone else hear the news break? The story about the woman in Wall, Pa who was seen walking into the woods with the baby??? Any reason why (and I know the reporterette just reads copy) but WHY NO MENTION of the status of the baby?!? I don have a journalism (or really any) degree...but my word. Does anyone think or they all just blindly read?!?

Sorry. Rant over.

Have yunz all been following the Boy Mayor story?! This is huge! There had been quite a few rumors in the news community but not enough to make public.

The BIG story is more than Boy Mayor..it’s the entire administration, the democrat machine in Allegheny county. Much bigger than the Ories but that will be used as a smoke screen.

The police chief, county manager..ALL are in deep doo doo.

Of course the dems I ‘ve talked with are making excuses, standing by theor man/party...sigh.

I wondered what was going on. I’ve been hearing about different Pittsburgh officials in the last couple of weeks!
