Meth and violence go hand in hand.
Make all drugs legal. Tax them. Let Government regulate them. And nothing will change...
Looks like the Affirmative Action programs have finally been realized.
Or, the judicial system is becoming more blind and treating criminals of all races more equally.
The Fair Sentencing Act of 2010 will serve to further equalize the disparity between whites and blacks in prison.
If they were really serious about the drug war, they would do it like Singapore, if you are caught dealing, death penalty. Until then, I know they really aren’t serious about it.
How about PC judges exercising disgression in sentencing.
Fine with me. It keeps my white neighborhood all the safer.
you took the words right out of my brain
“The US Is Putting More White People In Prison, And Meth Could Be To Blame”
Nope.
It’s called “gettin’ even with whitey”...
Not so long ago there was an article about a movement to “equalize” conviction rates based on race.
Blacks were/are complaining that a disproportionate number of blacks were in prison.
And of course the only explanation for the disparity they could come up with is RACISM.
So they wanted government to see that more whites and fewer blacks were sent to prison.
That way everyone would be doing their “Fair Share”, regardless of race.
Depending on how big they are -— Meth dealers should be hanged or shot (their choice)
Lesser dealers exiled after being indelibly branded
surprised no one has commented on “The Sentencing Project analyzed prison populations from 2000 to 2009, finding the rates of incarceration for blacks dropped sharply during that period: 30.7 percent for black women and 9.8 percent for men.”
Response: If meth is the cause than I advocate harder penalties such as whipping as whites no better.
Comment: On the other hand I suspect there is a little selection of whites to "balance the scales."
Why the interest in the skin color of criminals. I always approve of putting criminals who pose a danger to others in prison for a LONG time. I have never heard of a death penalty that I didn’t find 100% appropriate without any reference to skin color. Hillary put it best: “What difference does it make?”
