Not everything in the past was worse than today - manners and morals were (with some exceptions) superior. Or so I keep hearing from fellow FReepers - do you disagree?

Superior? In what way? What exceptions?

Overt racism was an exception. If you disagree about the general decline in manners and morals, just say so.

And the drug ban that began Prohibition is even older than its end ... so by your past-is-worse logic we should oppose drug bans.

No response?

There is certainly an overt lack of respect for authority today. There is certainly a lack of stability in the family unit today.

your past-is-worse logic

I never claimed everything in the past is worse. Maybe you should read an entire thread before making mindless comments.
