Very interesting. Let me also ask: is Christianity of any positive influence in the body politic in Britain?

Here in America, in the late 70s, early 80s there was a resurgence of evangelical influence...helped put Reagan in power....strangely, it also had a hand with his predecessor Jimmy Carter.

Today, sadly, many Bible believing churches refuse to publicly challenge the evils in the current administration.....

I think it has massively decreased sadly.

The Church here has had its values diluted in a ridiculous attempt to save itself. I always say that we in the UK are a few years up a dangerous path to riun than yourselves in the US, but I must say I have never seen anything as dangerous as the cult of personality surrounding the Obamas.

The evangelical Christian community in Britain is too small to have much of an effect.

I'm all for Christians being involved in politics, and I see no problem in them bringing their faith into the discussion, but I'm not a great fan of Christians becoming involved in partisan politics. There is a "Christian Party" in the UK but its not a good idea.
