WASHINGTON (AP) — The Associated Press has learned that the Homeland Security Department released more than 2,000 illegal immigrants facing deportation from immigration jails in recent weeks because of looming budget cuts. It also planned to release 3,000 more during March.
The newly disclosed figures, cited in internal government budget documents reviewed by the AP, are significantly higher than what the Obama administration acknowledged this week as a "few hundred" illegal immigrants who were released under the budget-savings process.

That this was because of budget issues is BS. Obama loves to punish the population who doesn’t support his Marxist policies. This is the Obama version of the Mariel Boatlift...nothing else.
Obama allegedly knew nothing about this, and neither did Napoliticano, and somebody in that department resigned that was going to anyway so they tried to tag that person, so who’s in charge when those in charge deny being in charge, and why are only FReeper’s asking the question?
The positive aspect of that is that there are a LOT of Willie Hortons just waiting to happen.
If only we had GOP leaders with the will to stage an offensive move based on it.
IIRC, under new policies, ICE wasn’t detaining any illegals in immigration jails unless they were suspected of violent crimes. So... WTH has just happened was a government-abetted jailbreak under the pretense of “the sequester.” Many Americans are going to lose their lives because of this. No one can convince me those illegals don’t have cartel members in their ranks.
Each time one of those released commits a crime that involves damage to a person or their property that person needs to civily sue Obama.
Get the names and arrest record of every single criminal released. When they get arrested again for new crimes, we need to blame President Obama.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio offered to put the illegal immigrant prisoners in his tent jail free of charge.
Lets see . We can let 3,000 convicted killers out onto the streets from death row. Or stop the study of THE MATING HABITS of the South America gay fruit fly.
Central Florida TV today had a NOAA spokeswoman on and her spiel was that NOAA was going to have to shut down their orbiting satellites because of reduced money!
She also said US weather service would have to eliminate Hurricane Hunter planes.
I can only presume that she gets all her information on the cuts from Maxine Waters! NOAA shut downs will be a part of the 170 million jobs lost.
Florida is known for have some very potent weed! That is proof.
A responsible government wouldn’t do things like this just to make a political point.
