William can't be next; it would require a change to the British constitution for Charles to be passed over. The Anglican church would have a problem if Charles' ex-spouse was alive, and they might still have one, since Camilla is divorced and her ex is living. But she'll never be queen for that reason.

I read a bio of Elizabeth last summer....tradition means quite a lot to her, and she would never dream of passing Charles over in favor of William.

It’s quite interesting to me how some people have such strong opinions about others they don’t know. Even more odd that they swallow unquestioningly what they read in the media.
